A shrewd shopper made a hefty profit after spotting fluorescent pink designer heels at a TK Maxx yellow sticker sale and reselling them on second hand app Vinted
A savvy shopper spotted a pair of shoes in the TX Maxx yellow sticker sale for just £25 – and, sensing their potential, she snapped them up.
Kat Lambert, from Bolton, Manchester, saw an opportunity with the pair of high-street heels. So she decided to list them on Vinted, a popular second-hand app.
The 37-year-old shared: “I went to go and have a look at the yellow sticker sale as I hear so much about it and never bother. As you can see, there was pretty much nothing left except the most insane shoes you’ve ever seen. Fluorescent pink PVC block heels covered in crystals.”
Despite the flamboyant style of the Mach and Mach shoes, Kat did some online research and was astounded to find they could fetch between £100 and £200 on the resale market.
The fashion fan listed them on Vinted and managed to sell them for a tidy £140, which is a profit of £115.
Kat revealed: “They sold within a couple of days on Vinted. I was super pleased with it as it was my first TX MAXX pick up. Yellow sticker sales are back now, so this is good timing. I’ll be back hunting for more soon.”
Social media users were equally impressed by Kat’s thrifty find, with one commenting: “Hell yeah I would have picked them up! They’re so wild.” Another shopper chimed in: “Weirdly love these shoes.”
A third fan gushed: “BOOM BABY! Love a TK find! I once snagged a stunning pair of All Saints boots on sale for a steal! It’s my best find to date.”
