Towards the end of Borderlands 4, there’s an obscure, hidden collectable hunt that isn’t marked whatsoever—no challenge tallying your progress, or map markers telling you where to go. Just 15 burritos hidden across the central city of Dominion. Get a pen and paper ready, because if you miss just one of these, you’ll be poring back over this guide trying to find it.
Your reward for completing this frustratingly obtuse, yet oddly nostalgic treasure hunt, isn’t an uber-rare Legendary gun or a unique piece of gear, but a floating golden burrito and a couple of red chests. It’s not much, but you’ll at least have the satisfaction of earning one of the game’s rarest Achievements/Trophies—Guac is Extra—and all the bragging rights that come with it.
All Burritos In The Carcadia District
Before you can start searching for burritos to mercilessly gun down, you need to complete The Falling Wall and unlock entry to Dominion.
Burrito #1
Once you’re inside the city, you’ll find the first burrito in the southeast of the Carcadia district, by the Mosmellow Retreat point-of-interest.
On the roof of this ramshackle house, there’s a piece of metal jutting out of the wall, with a burrito on top. Climb up and shoot it.
Burrito #2
Almost directly north, the second burrito can be found by The Groaning Core. There’s an echo log nearby which, when tracked, will lead you to the burrito. It’s hidden under the bench to the right of the toilet at the end of the corridor.
Burrito #3
Your next burrito can be found in the lower shanty down of the district, located in an acidic yellow swamp.
Within view of a checkpoint marker diagonal to the nearby safehouse, you’ll see a Kratch hive against a cracked concrete wall. On top of the hive, there’s a burrito poking out.
Burrito #4
The next burrito can be found further south, at a house beside a large sewer pipe. On the balcony, atop a crate, you’ll see the burrito.
Burrito #5
This final burrito in this district is wedged between a propaganda speaker and an echo log to the south (thankfully, out of the yellow sewage). Above you, at the end of a bridge, you’ll see a bus stop; behind it lies the burrito.
All Burritos In The Terminus District
Burrito #1
Just below the Food Court safehouse in the Terminus district, you’ll find a food stall called Whimsy Willies. The burrito is located on the counter to the right.
Burrito #2
Continue east until you reach a checkpoint marker, and you’ll find a few makeshift living arrangements in an oppressively grey interior kindly marked “Keep Out”.
One of these, besides six lockers and an exit leading to a stairwell, has a makeshift cubicle. On top of the toilet is the burrito.
Burrito #3
Head south to the ‘H’ shaped structure on the map (i.e. the Tempered Manufactorium), and you’ll find an outdoor laundromat called “24h Get the Funk Out”. The burrito is located next to a washing machine.
Burrito #4
Travel to the Frantic Scrawl and take the left staircase into a tunnel. You’ll come across a food stall with a burrito on the top shelf.
Burrito #5
Further south, below an echo log and east of a propaganda speaker, you’ll see three squares of water. North of the left square is a market, where you’ll find the Mr Cucur Bills stall. Underneath the right stack of pumpkins lies the burrito.
All Burritos In The Fades District
Before you go any further, you need to complete Means of Ascent to unlock the Fades district.
Burrito #1
From Zadra’s Lab, head towards the wall separating the Fades and Carcadia districts, and you’ll find a small platform beside a Vault Hunter’s Guide to Kairos collectable. Underneath the staircase leading up to this platform are a few crates, with a burrito on top.
In the chaos of the gunfight here, the burrito was destroyed before we could snap a picture. So, we’ve used a cartoon one to show you where it should be.
Burrito #2
To the north of the district, you’ll find a ripper camp in the swamp with a corpse hanging from the entrance. His left hand is holding a burrito.
Burrito #3
Further along the swamp, near the wall separating the district from the central tower, you’ll find a few small storage shacks turned into makeshift homes.
There’s an echo log here that will lead you straight to the burrito, which is beside one of these crates, under a wooden pallet, and to the right of a parasol.
Burrito #4
Directly south, past the safehouse, and right next to another echo log, you’ll find a burrito hidden in some shrubs beside a tree planted in a concrete planter box.
Burrito #5
Your last burrito—savour this moment, and pray that you haven’t missed any.
In the east of the district, between the propaganda speaker and vault symbol, you’ll see a rooftop with an outdoor pool, in view of a giant dome. Next to this pool is a boombox atop a pallet, and behind it is the burrito.
Upper Dominion
Once you have all 15 burritos, you need to head to Upper Dominion, which is unlocked during the final mission—The Timekeeper’s Order. You can return here after completing the game, so don’t worry if you missed it.
Dave The Burrito Location
Mark the northern vault symbol, which is hidden behind a waterfall, and when you reach it, turn right: you’ll see a newly opened pathway.
At the end is the coveted, golden, spinning, Dave Burrito, and when you approach it, you’ll hear the satisfying pop of the Guac is Extra Trophy/Achievement.
