When Did Todd Get Pardoned — And When Will He Be Home?
President Trump called Todd and Julie’s children Savannah and Chase Chrisley in May 2025 to inform them that the couple had been pardoned after more than two years in prison. The president revealed that he hoped his team could release Todd and Julie as early as “tomorrow,” according to a video shared via X.
“We’ll try getting it done tomorrow,” Trump said on May 27, noting, “I don’t know them but give them my regards.”
Savannah — who raised her youngest sibling Grayson and her niece, Chloe, while their parents were incarcerated — was elated by the news. “For the past two and a half years, I’ve done everything in my power to fight for my parents’ freedom and bring them home,” Savannah said in a statement to Us at the time. “This moment is the answer to countless prayers, and I am beyond grateful to President Trump for seeing the truth and restoring my family.”
She added: “Today is a victory for our family, but the fight against wrongful convictions and injustice within our prison system is far from over. I will continue to use my voice and platform to advocate for those who do not have one. Family is everything to me, and I will never stop fighting for what is right.”
Chase also issued a statement to Us, saying, “I am grateful to God and extremely grateful to President Trump and his entire administration. I’m beyond thankful to finally have my parents back home and my family together again!”
