Silksong Finds Easy Savage Beastfly Cheese

Hollow Knight: Silksong has plenty of tough bosses, but none of them have garnered more hatred than the Savage Beastfly. Sure, there are plenty that are stronger, but the Savage Beastfly is just early enough that it can pose a real problem, especially the version that loves to fly around a lava-filled room, spawn minions that shoot lava, and make itself a gigantic pain in the backside.

It’s a boss that so many Silksong players loathe that it managed to spawn its own dedicated subreddit called r/f***savagebeastfly, in which players share tips, complain, and celebrate overcoming the giant nuisance when they finally do. Those people, in particular, will be throwing a party once they find out about a new cheese that has been discovered that will take down the beast extremely easily.

This particular cheese was discovered by a Reddit user called Enni-b, and essentially involves running out of the Savage Beastfly arena with the creature chasing you, and trapping it in a small cave. In the video Enni-b shared (which you can see embedded above), they run right to the left as soon as the Savage Beastfly spawns, take the air jet up to the cave, and bait it inside.

Once it’s in there, it seems to get stuck, allowing you to wail on it from a safe distance until it’s close to death. Unfortunately, it doesn’t quite die there, but Enni-b explains that if you go back to the arena and then back again a few times, the Savage Beastfly should teleport back to its normal spot, which can then be taken down with a single hit.

It looks like a pretty effective method of putting the thing down if you’re struggling, and Enni-b claims to have done this twice now, proving that you can replicate the cheese. It’s a little bit risky, as it seems you’ll take some damage actually baiting the beast into the cave, but it looks extremely effective if you can get it to actually work. Hey, it’s better than dying to another lava-spewing minion a dozen more times, right?
