These roommates are disagreeing over money matters, and they probably won’t be living together for much longer!
It seems like every friend group has that one friend who is utterly financially irresponsible. They’re the one who asks you for $20 every time someone suggests ordering food. They’re the person who immediately agrees to go on any vacation, any flight, any music festival or show. They have a job… but they somehow never seem to have a single dollar to their name. That would never stop them from tagging along to all the plans, and they’re probably a lot of fun to hang with, you just have to know this about them so you don’t end up giving them hundreds of dollars you’ll never get back.
Unfortunately, someone has to be the roommate of that “fun friend,” and no doubt, they are going to be grouchy about living with this person. Like this person, who is very irritated with their “irresponsible” roommate who is refusing to pay back 2 month’s worth of rent! Instead, she’s got a bit of money to party it up at a music festival. These don’t come cheap, either. A day pass is $200! Or if she’s going for the whole weekend, it’s $500! That’s crazy expensive for someone who probably owes a lot more than that in order to afford their home.
