This neighbor has taken pettiness to ice-cold levels, but she was never expecting her conniving actions to be recorded on camera!
Some people just truly underestimate how many cameras there are these days. If you live in a big city, for example, it’s almost impossible to avoid being recorded everywhere you go. You step outside, and there are a dozen apartments around you with home security cameras with motion-sensing technology. Stores are recording, and of course, everyone has their phone on them that they can whip out at a moment’s notice to document anything that goes on around them.
However, for people who are older, or unaware, or who live in more rural areas, surveillance might not be at the front of their mind. They still think they can get away with shenanigans when they most certainly cannot! They have to prepared to defend anything they do…
This person’s neighbor was especially dim. She seemingly had it out for this person over a pathetically minuscule reason. And her plan for sabotage was just too dimwitted to believe. This plan was to continually expose the water pipe system to some very cold weather. Girl… please… I just lost a few IQ points thinking about this. She’s acting like she doesn’t live within flooding distance of her own neighbor’s apartment! She’s acting like a pipe isn’t connected to anything else!
Some people are just not built with that many brains in their head, though. They think about revenge in the most short-term way possible, never considering what would happen if they get caught in the act of their sabotage. Frozen pipes can result in huge property damages, and that means insurance has to get involved. It’s not like water just freezes in the pipes and then sits there waiting to be warmed again. Nope, instead the pipes can burst and flood the basement, or the actual apartment, and cause untold damage before the water freezes over again.
This person mentioned that the temperatures were in the single digits, with a real feel in the negative 20s, which would certainly freeze everything in sight. And possibly the worst detail here is that they have a cat, who could’ve been involved in a very cold, unfortunate day had the pipes actually burst due to this neighbor’s shortsighted scheme.
