It looks like someone might have discovered even more evidence that the leaked The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered is real, as its SteamDB listing has potentially been spotted through Boosteroid.

A remake/remaster of Oblivion has already spent most of 2024 as one of the biggest gaming rumours, but the floodgates have absolutely opened over the last few months. Insiders have spent weeks saying the remaster was close to release and might even be shadowdropped, and that was before screenshots and details leaked through developer Virtous’ website.

With the project being as close to announced as possible, you’d think the leaks would stop there. You’d be wrong, as we’re actually getting even more before the game is even announced. Just earlier today, an unused page for the project was found on Virtous website, and now some are even finding what appears to be Oblivion Remastered’s SteamDB listing.

A Shadowdrop Is Seeming More And More Likely

This one is a bit of a rabbit hole, so stick with me. As pointed out by Redditor DedSec_Pearce on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, an unknown SteamDB listing has been spotted that appears to be linked to the Oblivion remaster. That might not seem clear from following the link, as there’s nothing explicitly tying it to Oblivion, but there’s more to it.

Over on Twitter and Reddit, several users such as amnesial- have reported seeing The Elder Scrolls 4: Remastered on their Boosteroid account. Boosteroid is a cloud streaming service with ties to Microsoft, which could explain why the game is appearing in certain regions. It can’t be played, but it does have a Steam number attached to it, which some have used on SteamDB to find the unknown listing.

While the Boosteroid claims did seem a little far-fetched and easily fakeable at first, the fact of the matter is that this Steam ID is real and has been active and changed since September 2023. It’s possible that it’s a mistake and not linked to the Oblivion remaster, but with every other bit of evidence so far, it certainly seems like it could be true.

The unknown Steam listing that’s believed to be Oblivion’s remaster has had a lot of updates and changes recently, suggesting it’s constantly being tweaked and prepared.

All of this combines to make it look even more likely that Oblivion’s remaster is actually being shadowdropped soon, or at least announced with a release on the horizon.
