The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation has unveiled their Class of 2025 Inductees. Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Cyndi Lauper, Outkast, Soundgarden, The White Stripes are in the Performer Category, Salt-N-Pepa, Warren Zevon will receive the Musical Influence Award, Thom Bell, Nicky Hopkins, Carol Kaye will receive the Musical Excellence Award, and Lenny Waronker will receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award. The Induction will stream live November 8 on Disney+.
Nearly $10 million of fire relief and distributed from GRAMMY telecast contributions. MusiCares has distributed $6,125,000 to more than 3,1000 music professionals across Los Angeles and $3,969,005 has been directed to three community-based organizations: California Community Foundation, Direct Relief and Pasadena Community Foundation.
More performers have been announced for the milestone 60th Academy of Country Music Awards which will stream live May 8 on Prime Video. The awards will open with a 12 minute “Songs of the Decades” performance featuring ACM Songs of the Year from Six Decades performed by Clint Black, Dan + Shay, Wynonna Judd, Reba McEntire, LeAnn Rimes and Sugarland. There will also be duets with Backstreet Boys and Rascal Flatts, Jelly Roll and Shaboozey, and Brooks & Dunn and Cody Johnson. Megan Moroney will also join previously announced performances by Alan Jackson, Chris Stapleton, Blake Shelton, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, Miranda Lambert, Ella Langley and Zach Top.
Last weekend, Lady Gaga kicked off a series of international headline performances with back-to-back sold-out stadium shows in Mexico City. She read an emotional letter to her fans in Spanish, did an intimate performance of “Shallow” and had the live debut of “Blade of Grass” which she wrote for her fiancé Michael Polansky. She shared, “I wrote this song for the person I love most int he world, my fiancé Michael. I just wanted to remind everyone, just for my life, that love can make us so happy. Always follow love and it will make you happy.” Gaga will kick off her highly anticipated MAYHEM Ball Tour this summer.
Beyoncé kicked off her highly anticipated COWBOY CARTER TOUR this week in Los Angeles. Blue Ivy made several special guest appearances throughout the show and Rumi Carter made her first ever on stage appearance during “Protector.” Last night at her second Los Angeles show, Beyoncé brought out her mother Tina Knowles and congratulated her on her new book.
iHeartCountry Festival is taking place May 3 at the Moody Center in Austin, TX. This year’s lineup includes Brooks & Dunn, Thomas Rhett, Rascal Flatts, Sam Hunt, Megan Moroney, Bailey Zimmerman, Nate Smith and Cole Swindell.
Dove Cameron shared that she will be a special guest on Dua Lipa’s Radical Optimism Tour during her UK and Ireland dates this summer. Dove posted that she will play her first stadium at Wembley Stadium with one of her favorite artists and wrote “Can’t believe this is real life, thank you i love you Dua Lipa.” She also released a new single “French Girls” which she described as a “very playful, high energy and joy-filled dance track.”
Barbra Streisand has announced her next album, The Secret Of Life: Partners, Volume Two will be out June 27. This new collection of duets will feature Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, James Taylor, Sting, Sam Smith, Josh Groban, Tim McGraw, Laufey, Mariah Carey and Ariana Grande. The first single from the album, “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” featuring Hozier is out now.
Lorde has officially announced her highly anticipated new album, Virgin, set for release on June 27. This marks her first full-length body of work in four years. The announcement follows the release of her new single, “What Was That” which she co-produced.
Atlantic Records revealed the star-studded lineup for F1 The Album. The companion album to the action packed F1 will feature tracks from Ed Sheeran, Tate McRae, RAYE, Burna Boy, ROSÉ, Roddy Ricch, Dom Dolla, Chris Stapleton, Tiësto, Sexyy Red, Myke Towers, Madison Beer, Peggy Gou and more. The first single “Lose My Mind” from Don Toliver featuring Doja Cat is out now.
Ed Sheeran announced his new album, Play, will arrive on September 12. His new album will find him exploring new musical ground, collaborating with producers and musicians from all around the world. Ed shared, “Play was an album that was made as a direct response to the darkest period of my life. Coming out of all of that I just wanted to create joy and technicolour, and explore cultures in the countries I was touring. I made this record all over the world, finished it in Goa, India, and had some of the most fun, explorative creative days of my life. It’s a real rollercoaster of emotions from start to finish, it encapsulates everything that I love about music, and the fun in it, but also where I am in life as a human, a partner, a father.” Ed released a new song, “Old Phone,” and launched @teddysoldphone, an Instagram account featuring never before seen photos from his actual old phone.
