There are a whole lot of us in this world, and each of us has a different perspective. For instance, you might think your neighbor is insane for blocking your driveway. Meanwhile, they’re wondering why you’re being so inflexible and not understanding their need to use it. There’s a completely different perspective at play in these situations, and the truth often lies in between.

You are, of course, right in this case: Your neighbor is insane. There are almost no instances where you should be blocking someone’s direct access to their home, and those few exceptions would be one-offs and not repeated. Making this a bad example for arguments for equivocation.

While there are plenty of other situations in life where you have to take a step back and evaluate how measured your feelings actually are concerning a petty disagreement, it takes a special kind of person to block someone’s private driveway despite being repeatedly asked not to. The audacity on display here, along with the complete disregard for the owner of the driveway’s wishes, pushes the entire pattern of behavior into lunacy.

It would be one thing if this were the first instance of the behavior and the driveway owner was making a mountain out of a proverbial molehill. But to continuously repeat the same behavior is entitlement bordering on insanity.
