One travel lover has proven a night’s stay in London doesn’t have to break the bank. In one of his latest online posts, influencer Ralph Smith revealed he’d paid just £10 to stay at a Central London hostel

Many people often think a trip to London may break the bank. However, one travel influencer has proven it doesn’t have to. Ralph Smith often shares his travel adventures with his 63,000 followers on Instagram. In one of his latest posts, he says he paid just £10 to stay at a budget Central London hostel.

Ralph started the video outside Smart Hyde Park Inn Hostel, which is located in Bayswater, West London. He says to the camera: “It’s £10 to stay here in Central London. Guys, let’s go inside and find out [what it’s like].” The influencer is then seen talking to a guest of the hostel as he enters who says it’s “very good” and “very clean”. When asked how much he paid for the night, he said £12.

Ralph is then seen checking in as he’s given a fresh, clean bedsheet by the staff. On entering the room, he notices there is air con which he says is “really nice and cold” because he says it’s “boiling”.

He then finds his bed, which he says “isn’t too bad at all”, despite it “not being the spongiest”.

As well as a pillow as a cover, guests also have their own charger port and light.

Ralph tells the camera: “In total there are nine beds in here, you’ve got a locker each. Honestly for £10 it’s not too bad.”

However, he admitted it ‘depends on who you have in your room’, but he noted it was ‘very calm’ in there while he was documenting it, with just one other person in the room. “Can’t complain,” he declared.

The social media star then went into the bathroom as he declared the toilet was “very clean”. He did admit there were a few hairs in the sink though. When it came to the shower, he said he’d “seen a lot worse”.

Ralph then ventured down to the kitchen where he said: “You could definitely cook here. Would you want to, probably not?”

Giving his final verdict, the influencer said he’d stay there if he was “desperate”. He added: “It’s not dirty, it’s not grim, it doesn’t smell, the staff are really friendly in there.

“The only thing I would change is it’s very hot in there, they do have air con but I think at night that room will get stupidly hot.”

He did say it was a bargain to live in Central London for £70 a week though.

Ralph also recommended it for nights out for a group of friends, adding: “If you’re coming to London and need a place to crash or you have you and a few friends who want to book a hostel, come check out Hyde Park Inn.”

People were loving the post, with it racking up more than 7,600 likes.

One person exclaimed: “Looks so nice,” while another added: “When I move to London I’ll stay there for a few weeks.”

A third chimed in: “The neighbourhood is nice too. Close by restaurants, coffee shops and many other shops, and of course a few minutes to the beautiful Hyde park.”

However, others admitted they couldn’t share a dormitory, with one person writing: “I’m too fancy to ever stay in a hostel & sharing room with 9 strangers. I wouldn’t be able to sleep as I’m a light sleeper.”

The establishment is known as a youth hostel, which means it’s only for guests between 16-45.

Despite Ralph claiming he paid £10 to stay at the hostel, the website states prices start from £14.40.
