Pokemon Go is hosting a new Hatch Day event this month, a type of event centered around acquiring and hatching Eggs within the game. Tyrogue will be the featured Pokemon for this Hatch Day, the pre-evolution to Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, and Hitmontop.

The Tyrogue Hatch Day will take place on Sunday, April 6, 2025, from 2pm local time to 5pm local time, only giving you a three-hour window to enjoy this event. Below you can find all the information you need to know about this event, ranging from event details to tips and tricks to help you make the most of it.

Featured Pokemon: Tyrogue

As mentioned above, Tyrogue will be the featured Pokemon for this Hatch Day event. This means that Tyrogue will have increased chances of being hatched from 2 km Eggs during the three hours of this event.

Additionally, you will have increased odds of hatching a Shiny Tyrogue during this event. Make sure to obtain and hatch as many 2 km Eggs as you can during this event, giving you a great chance of hatching a Shiny Tyrogue during this event.

Event Bonuses

Nine different Eggs from the "Eggs" page from Pokemon Go.

There will be three different bonuses active during this event, available to all players without cost. These three bonuses include:

Receive double the Candy when hatching Eggs.
Increased likelihood of receiving 2 km Eggs from PokeStops.
Eggs placed in Incubators will have half the Egg hatch distance.

Event Research

Free Timed Research

You will be granted access to Free Timed Research when logging into Pokemon Go during the Tyrogue Hatch Day event. This Timed Research will require you to complete different in-game tasks, most likely having to do with obtaining and hatching Eggs, requiring that you complete all tasks and claim all rewards before the end of the event.

Completing the various tasks for this Timed Research will reward you with:

Paid Timed Research

There will also be Paid Timed Research available for the Tyrogue Hatch Day, costing $2.00 USD at the Pokemon Go in-game shop. Those who purchase this Timed Research will be able to complete additional in-game tasks, providing you with the following rewards when completed:

One Star Piece
One Super Incubator
2,500 XP

Additionally, those who purchase this Timed Research will receive double the Stardust when hatching Eggs during this event.

Field Research Tasks

There will be Event Field Research Tasks available to claim and complete during the Tyrogue Hatch Day, acquired by spinning different PokeStop Photo Discs. Complete these limited-time Field Research Tasks to earn either Stardust or XP.
