Recommended Digimon To Use
Digimon Story Time Stranger places you in the shoes of an Agent investigating anomalies around Tokyo, most of which are caused by the interference of phase electron lifeforms, or Digimon. As you begin investigating the other side of the Wall of Hope, you come across a mysterious girl in need of protection.
After fighting your way to the top of the Government Building, you’ll come face to face with your first boss in the game, a Kuwagamon. Below, we’ll take a look at everything you need to know about this boss, from its strengths and weaknesses to the beast Digimon to use to beat it.
Kuwagamon Strengths, Weaknesses, And Attacks
Kuwagamon is a Virus attribute Digimon that uses mainly Wind attacks. As a Virus attribute Digimon, Kuwagamon is weak to Vaccine Digimon, but strong against Data Digimon. Also, this boss has a weakness to Fire, and takes normal damage from all other types of elemental attacks.
Throughout the fight, Kuwagamon will mainly use a normal attack, which does a small amount of damage with no special added effects. Occasionally, it will use Wind Claw, dealing wind damage to one target.
Then, near the end of the fight, Kuwagamon will use two attacks in rapid succession: Tempest and Scissor Claw. Tempest will hit all your active Digimon with Wind damage, while Scissor Claw will deal high Null physical damage to a single target.
The strategy for this fight is fairly straightforward. You won’t have access to any Digimon that can heal your other party members just yet, so make use of the items you’ve gathered thus far to keep your party topped off. Kuwagamon’s normal attacks are easy enough to ignore, but you’ll want to make sure your Digimon have enough health to survive Tempest and Scissor Hand later in the fight.
You’ll also gain access to Cross Arts during this battle. For now, you’ll only have access to the basic Cross Art: Field, which buffs your three active Digimon’s stats significantly for two turns. Make use of this whenever it’s ready to make the fight a bit smoother.
Recommended Digimon To Use
Taking into account Kuwagamon’s weaknesses, any type of Vaccine Digimon will do well in this fight. If you have any Digimon that have access to a Fire element attack, they will be the best option. Agumon in particular is quite strong here, and holds up for the next few bosses as well, so it’s a good idea to Digivolve one if you haven’t already.
You can get Agumon by Digivolving a Koromon that has 530 Max HP or higher. If you’re preparing an Aguman specifically for this fight, be sure to Convert Koromon at 200 percent to get the highest stat bonus.
With one or two Vaccine Digimon, especially if one of those is Agumon, this fight shouldn’t be too difficult. If you can, avoid using Data Digimon, as they’ll take much more damage from the boss’s attacks, and will most assuredly get knocked out by Tempest or Scissor Claw.
