Erin and Ben Napier Surprise Family Health Advocate Who Throws Baby Showers for Women in Need with Home Makeover

Erin and Ben Napier are paying it forward for a beloved community advocate in the Home Town Takeover finale!

In the season finale on Sunday, April 13, the 39-year-old designer and the 41-year-old woodworker meet Aisha, a family health advocate who is always working to help mothers in need — and gets the blessing of a lifetime in return.

In the clip above, the HGTV stars surprise her during a baby shower.

“What in the world?” she says as Ben and Erin enter the room.

Aisha and several other women, including two expectant mothers, are gathered around various baby supplies as the Napiers greet them. 

After congratulating the pregnant women, the husband and wife turn their attention to a cheerful Aisha.

“This is out of control,” she says, still stunned at their arrival.

Looking around at the supplies, Ben asks, “People in the neighborhood, people around town donate all this stuff?”

Aisha confirms that the items have been donated by others within their Florida community, holding up hand-knitted caps custom made for newborns. 

“We’ve done baby showers throughout the community, we have a large one we do in August,” she tells Erin and Ben. “We just wanna make sure that all of our moms are in a very welcoming and amazing environment.”

Impressed by her efforts, Erin replies, “Well, thank you for everything you’re doing for Sebring. Everybody here has told us how wonderful you are and what a difference you’ve made for people who need help figuring out the parenting journey, ‘cause it’s intimidating.”

However, the Lantern House author doesn’t end there. 

Erin shares that she’s heard that Aisha “would love” to bring people into her home for one-on-one counseling and to have her own space to “be an open door to people in need.”

Aisha begins to become emotional, her voice cracking a bit as she responds to Erin.

“But the way it is right now, you don’t necessarily want everyone to come in?” Erin asks.

Aisha shares that her dream has always been “bringing people together so that we could do this in my own space.”

Her confession leads Erin to share the real reason she and her husband came to visit.

“Would it help you if we renovated your house?” the television star asks as audible gasps are heard from Aisha and the other women. 

One woman smiles as she comforts Aisha, who has already buried her face into her hands, pleasantly surprised by the news. Other women in the room are seen smiling during the joyous occasion.

Erin and Ben have spent season three of their HGTV spinoff, Home Town Takeover, lending a helping hand to the central Florida town: giving businesses a refresh, tackling civic projects and making over the homes of community members who are cornerstones in the down-on-its-luck city.

In seasons one and two they took on similar whole-town renos in Wetumpka, Ala. and Fort Morgan, Colo. to emulate the new life they’ve brought to their own town of Laurel, Miss.
