Who knew one little accident could cause so much family drama!
There comes a certain time in every person’s life when they’re getting a bit too old to drive. Usually this doesn’t happen until they’re pretty elderly, old enough to have really bad vision or to have gotten into an accident or 3. A lot of times, there’s a whole family conversation around banning this person from driving: Grandpa doesn’t always want to hear that he can’t drive to meet up with his. golfing buddies. Grandparents want their freedom, too! But when you’re becoming a road hazard, someone’s got to take those keys away.
This grandparent has kind of the opposite problem: they got into a really minor car accident that made their adult child totally flip her lid. She forbade the grandparent from ever driving their grandkids ever again! That’s perhaps a bit of an overreaction, but still, there are other ways that the grandparent could see the kids, right?
