Summary

  • Use Permanent Unlock on Perks, Weapons, and even Wildcards to make future grinds much more manageable.
  • Use a Token for late weapon unlocks like the Peacekeeper MK1 or MPC-25 to get top-tier guns from level one.
  • Spend Tokens on Perks unlocked late in the game, such as Ninja or Ghost, to remain harder to detect by the enemy, allowing you to move around the map more freely.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is out, and everyone is racing to Prestige Master, making the Permanent Unlock Token crucial if you want to save the best item, having it be available from level one the moment you reset your rank and start the grind all over again. While most things in Black Ops 7 are viable, some are crucial to spend the token on if you want to get the most out of this finite resource.

From the best weapons to Perks to Wildcards, using your Vault Edition or Prestige Permanent Unlock Token on specific items can set you up wonderfully for your next run, allowing you to make the grind a bit more trivial. There’s nothing like spending your Permanent Unlock Token on something that you won’t unlock until nearly the highest level, which is precisely what it’s there for!

Recon Perk

Kicking things off, we have the Ghost Perk, which is one of the most useful Perks in any Call of Duty title, and is especially the case for Black Ops 7. If you want to stay entirely off the enemy’s UAVs and Scout Pulses, then unlocking Ghost with a Permanent Unlock Token is a must, and should be done as soon as possible. If you play a lot of objective-based game modes, you can expect a UAV to enter the airspace a lot, and this is a direct counter to that.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 7 – Every Field Upgrade, Ranked

There are a total of ten Field Upgrades in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, but which one is the best? We tackle that question here!

Outside of launchers, Ghost will give you a simple peace of mind, enabling you to move about the map undetected, even if there are multiple scorestreaks in the air that are supposed to pinpoint your location. Ghost has always been an excellent Perk, and that remains the case here. You cannot go wrong with spending one of your Tokens on this one!

Peacekeeper MK1

Rank Unlocked

Rank 52

Type

Assault Rifle

Following that, we have the lovely Peacekeeper MK1. While it may not be the best Assault Rifle in Black Ops 7, it’s undoubtedly one of the better offerings, even if it does act more like an SMG than anything. The fact of the matter is, this thing shreds, especially when kitted out with attachments. It has a tremendously fast rate of fire, excellent mobility, and can dominate most maps once you level it up a bit.

But, there is one small catch: the Peacekeeper MK1 is the very last Assault Rifle you unlock in the game, making the wait for it excruciating. Unless you have the Vault Edition, you must patiently wait until Rank 52 before you get your hands on this beast, which is simply way too long. If you have a Permanent Unlock Token to spare and love ARs, drop it on the Peacekeeper!

Perk Greed

Rank Unlocked

Rank 33

Type

Wildcard

Oh, Perk Greed, our beloved. While it may be best to hold off on this Wildcard until after you have Ghost and Ninja, you should use a Permanent Unlock Token on it at some point, as it allows you to equip up to four Perks, enabling you to have both Ghost and Ninja equipped simultaneously, while also having something like Coldblooded also on, keeping you off the grid.

As far as Wildcards go, Perk Greed is one of the best in the game, and certainly one of the better ones that won’t become unlocked until much later, at Rank 33. This is unacceptable, considering how many things can track you or reveal your position, so having this in your back pocket, along with the Perks, will be a substantial benefit!

Specialist

Rank Unlocked

Rank 53

Type

Wildcard

Next up is another outstanding Wildcard in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, the Specialist, which allows you to swap your scorestreaks for Perks, enabling you to earn up to three additional Perks throughout the course of the match. While you do lose access to potent scorestreaks, gaining three Perks can quite literally be game-changing, allowing you to gain Lightweight, Ninja, Dexterity, and so on.

If you don’t mind sacrificing score streaks for Perks, using your Permanent Unlock Token on Specialist is a must, as you essentially become a God on the battlefield when you start popping off. Imagine gaining increased movement, ammunition when killing enemies, and silenced movement when going on a streak. That’s massive and is absolutely worth the tradeoff to us!

Ninja

A look at the Ninja Perk icon in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

Rank Unlocked

Rank 53

Type

Recon Perk

Ninja is arguably the best Perk in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, as it completely silences your movement, allowing you to sprint around the map without making a sound, making it impossible for the opposition to seek you out on your absurdly loud footsteps. If you love running around the map and being a thorn in the enemy’s side, you must unlock Ninja as soon as possible with your Permanent Unlock Token.

And, as you likely guessed, since Ninja is such a potent Perk, you won’t unlock it until Rank 53, which is too dang high for our tastes. This Perk should be your first Permanent Unlock Token purchase, as you will get the most mileage out of it, especially if you play objective game modes such as Search and Destroy!

MPC-25

Rank Unlocked

Rank 55

Type

Submachine Gun

Last up is the devastating MPC-25 SMG, which is arguably one of the best weapons in the game, and certainly one of the best SMGs. While we like the Dravec 45 slightly more, seeing as this SMG is the last unlock of the game at Rank 55, we think you should spend your Permanent Unlock Token on this one instead. If SMGs are your bread and butter, the MPC-25 checks all the boxes you need it to and then some.

Solid damage output? Check. Superb mobility and handling? Check and check. Above-average rate of fire? You got it. The MPC-25 is a beast of a submachine gun, and it should be unlocked permanently as soon as possible. While we think the Perks and Wildcards should be prioritized first before the weapons, it’s perfectly understandable if you want to jump on this one first, as it is more than worth it!
