Rune Factory: Guardians Of Azuma – Kanata Romance Guide
Kanata is the final god that you’ll unlock in Rune Factory: Guardians Of Azuma, and here’s everything you can do to marry her.
Pilika is one of these characters, and she’s unlocked after quite a bit of the story. She also has quite a different personality compared to the other characters in the romanceable roster since she likes keeping to herself, and it’ll take her a long time to open up to you.
Pilika Overview And Common Locations
Residence |
Winter Village |
---|---|
Birthday |
Winter 10th |
As you can see from above, you’ll meet Pilika for the first time when you arrive at the Winter Village, which is the fourth village in line. Before reaching it, you’ll have to solve the crisis of Spring, Summer, and Autumn Villages while also doing some tasks for Ulalaka, Matsuri, and Kurama respectively to revive their village.
Winter Village will have an entirely different landscape compared to the other three since you’ll see snow everywhere. As soon as you enter, Pilika will be the first character to greet you with her arrow, but she’ll soon start trusting you as you get past the main story and fix the main problem being faced by the village.
While you meet Pilika early in the Winter Village arc, you can only start increasing your bond with her once you finish the story of this village.
This roughly happens when you’re asked to talk to Zaza, where you get the new Chemist building.
After you’ve started increasing your bond with Pilika, you can find her house to the right of the bottom teleport statue inside the village. When you look at the map, you’ll see two white-colored houses to the right of this statue, and the one further away belongs to Pilika. You can find her heading outside of this house every day as soon as the day starts.
However, if you’re looking for her in the middle of the day, she can still often be found in the Winter Village itself. However, there’s a chance that she visits other villages sometimes, and you can tell where she is by finding her icon on the bottom-right side of a village’s map.
Best Gifts And Hangouts For Pilika
Since romancing and increasing your bond with different characters is one of the core mechanics in Rune Factory: Guardians Of Azuma, there are a lot of ways to do it. You can increase Pilika’s bond level by talking to her daily, using your Plum Branch near her, completing her bond quests/requests, taking her out for exploration, and hanging out with her.
The last mechanic gives you the most bond value, and it allows you to either gift her something or trigger a specific hangout event. Pilika has some preferences for these, and you’ll get a higher bond value if you keep them in mind. For example, giving her some of these gifts can give you 16 or 24 bond value depending on her likes and loves:
Best Pilika Gifts
Type |
Name |
How To Get |
---|---|---|
Loves |
Nature’s Bounty |
This is a unique recipe that first requires you to reach bond level six with Pilika. Once you’re there, you can make it by cooking Veggie Salad with her at any of the restaurants. Once you unlock this item, it becomes the best gift for Pilika as long as you can continuously grow cabbages, tomatoes, and cucumbers. |
Honey Toast |
You’ll unlock this recipe after submitting the right dish to the Sage of Sweets quest for the first time, and it can be made using Bread Loaf, Butter, Honey, and Ice Cream. You can buy Bread Loaf at particular vendors while the other three items can be acquired easily. |
|
Honey Castella Cake |
This recipe can only be acquired after progressing through the game for quite a bit, and there are much better options when it comes to Pilika’s gifts. |
|
Honey Flan |
This is another one of the recipes you get from the Sage of Sweets side quest, and it requires milk, eggs, and honey as ingredients. You can acquire them all easily by taming specific animals. |
|
Golden Salmon Meuniere |
The recipe for this can be found by interacting with a Frog Statue on the Dual Shell Island in the sky, but the Golden Salmon required for it can be quite rare. |
|
Likes |
Grilled Salmon |
You can easily find Salmon fish while using the fishing mechanic in the game, making this a good choice for Pilika’s liked gifts. However, there are better options. |
Salmon Sashimi |
Both of these recipes can easily be acquired from Frog Statues that you can find in the open, and they can be decent gifts for Pilika daily. |
|
Salmon Onigiri |

Honey (best) |
Honey is a common drop when you defeat bee-type enemies in the game, and the best way to stock up on it is by taming a bee for your barns. |
|
Meat Skewers |
Once again, while these gifts aren’t particularly hard to acquire, there are much better options for Pilika since they’re less rare and you get the same bond value in return. |
|
Golden Salmon |
Best Pilika Hangouts
Pilika doesn’t have a lot of hangouts that she enjoys, and you might even lose bond value if you trigger “Muse about monsters” with her. However, you can go for “Invite out to the snowfield”, “Take a nap together”, and “Invite out to the mountains” for some high bond value.
How Pilika Works In Combat
While Pilika’s personality might be quite different from the other characters in the game, one thing she does share with most of them is her attacker-type abilities in combat. You can take her in the open world as soon as you reach bond level one with her, and each level after that gives you some additional effects.
Here’s what a bond level ten Pilika can do in combat:
Bond Level |
Effect Unlocked |
---|---|
1 |
Increases Pilika’s Crit damage. |
2 |
Increases Pilika’s ATK. |
3 |
Unlocks the Hunter’s Aim skill, which deals a powerful bow attack. |
4 |
Unlocks the Animal Repellent skill, which deals high damage to animals. |
5 |
Unlocks the Painbringer Stance skill, which further increases her Crit damage by 40 percent. |
6 |
Unlocks the Wind Arrow skill that shoots a wind arrow at the enemy. |
7 |
Unlocks the Magic Negator skill, which attacks the target and reduces their M.ATK by 15 percent. |
8 |
Unlocks the Constraining Shot skill, which works similarly to Hunter’s Aim. |
9 |
Unlocks the Death from Above skill. |
10 |
Increases Pilika’s ATK. |
If you’re fighting some animal-type enemies to farm some materials, Pilika can be a great teammate.
You can also use Pilika against bosses that majorly deal magic damage since she can work as a defender there and reduce the overall damage you take.
Pilika Marriage Guide
Once you’ve reached bond level ten with Pilika, you can start the process of marrying her. For this, you first have to complete all her bond quests and dates until bond level nine, which will increase your Intimacy to the maximum apart from the last icon. This icon can be acquired after you successfully marry her.
To do this, grow a Plum Branch and cook Divine Spirits at a cooking pot, which will allow you to ask her to the Fateweaver Shrine. When you do that, you can marry her on the next day, and have a child 15 days after that. However, if you reject her offer for a kid five days after marriage, she’ll bring it up again in another five days.
