It’s officially Battlefield 6 open beta day! At least for those of you who’ve sprung for the early access. While the official dates are between August 9-10 and August 14-17, early access players will be able to experience it today. However, it seems the hype has hit a fever pitch as there are already over 48,000 people waiting in queue.

Unfortunately, server issues and long queues are now to be expected with any new multiplayer game, the Battlefield community has been waiting to wash the taste off the taste of Battlefield 2042. So much so that the pre-load player count for Battlefield 6 was almost competing with the current title’s numbers. If you’re not already in queue for the open beta, you might want to lower your expectations.

Battlefield 4 Early Access Open Beta Already Has Long Queues

Battlefield 6 Pre-Orders

The early access open beta goes live at 1am PTD, around three hours after the time of writing this article, but it seems players are already lining up as though a new iPhone has launched. A Reddit post by one of these players reveals there are 48,000 people already waiting, even though there’s nothing to play at the moment.

As you’d expect, the devs are probably hard at work currently, to ensure that the open beta goes smoothly, meaning there will likely be a number of updates being pushed out before it goes live. The comments reported that access to the settings was also intermittent, meaning the devs are probably making last-minute tweaks.

The queue will most probably reset once the open beta goes live, so you’ll have to be at the ready if you want to avoid the long wait time. However, considering how many people you’re up against, you should probably be prepared to wait a while anyway. With almost 50,000 people jumping in at once, your chances may be pretty slim.

However, it looks like Dice has tried to ensure the open beta goes as smoothly as possible, putting out a pre-load, and even sharing a guide for getting into the beta test.
