“The cost of your holiday has increased…” You don’t say!
This person and I are in agreement: the crazy prices when trying to travel have to stop. It’s just truly ridiculous the things that companies can get away with.
One thing that I fall for all the time is when cruise lines send me emails advertising cruises that are like, $300 for a week-long, all-inclusive trip. That’s a great deal, so I click around and add that to the cart. And THAT’s when the fees get added on! There was a time a few years ago when I was beside myself trying to figure out why every time I added a $200 cruise to the cart, the very next booking page showed that this thing was now… $422. Somehow, it doubled in price, and there was literally no rhyme or reason for it.
Anyway, this person’s dealing with a really hilarious situation (although they may not find it as funny as all of the giggling commenters did!) They’re somehow being charged an impossibly large amount of money — as one commenter joked, “Did you click the moon option rather than the honeymoon option, as that will do it.” Check out their “unfortunate” update email below, as well as comments from people who found the whole thing really amusing.
Next up, read about these people who couldn’t believe the levels of entitlement they were witnessing: ‘He literally thought he could boss around the team because his mother outranked them.’
