Talk about ungrateful! This stepdaughter thought she had the perfect plan to score some extra cash… cancel a concert with her dad and other family members!
They say that if you loan someone money, you shouldn’t expect to get it back. If your family member asks for $500 and insists they’ll pay you back by next month, you can just give them the money. Because if you loan it to them and expect to get that cash back, it can cause all kinds of issues. If they can’t repay you, they might start avoiding you, or blaming you, or they might start bad-mouthing you behind your back.
This stepchild had a pretty sneaky way of trying to get cash from her stepmom. Instead of just asking for a loan, or just asking to have the money outright, she decided to put a price tag on her Dad’s 60th birthday. She wanted the money for the concert tickets that her stepmom was buying, which is just rather tacky. If it was the stepdaughter’s birthday, that’d be a little more understandable. But her dad’s birthday present should be going entirely to him, as commenters told the stepmom in her post. She actually did take some advice from commenters, and left an update. Check it all out below.
