Herbil is a small and adorable Pal—but don’t let its size fool you. It’s got big fists and prefers solving problems with punches. According to its Palpedia entry, if your heart stops, Herbil will literally punch it back to life.

Neutral never looked so strong.
This charming Pal was added to Palworld in the Tides of Terraria update, and that heart-punching line isn’t just a joke—its partner skill can actually revive you when you’re incapacitated. If you’re looking for a cute yet incredibly useful Pal and don’t know where to begin your search, this guide will help you track Herbil down with ease.
Where To Find Herbil
Herbil is a Grass- and Neutral-type Pal, and if you’re looking to find it, you’ll need to turn your attention away from the major islands. Herbil can be found on three of the smaller islets introduced in the Tides of Terraria update.
To reach these islets, you’ll need a mount capable of flying or swimming.
One location where you can find Herbil is Sunlit Isle, located at coordinates 386, -462. To get there, start from the Marsh Island fast travel point located south of Marsh Island itself, then head southwest over the sea. You’ll encounter low-level Herbils (between levels one and ten) along the shores and throughout the island.
Another place to find Herbil is Eternal Summer Isle, found at -430, -816. The easiest way to reach it is by traveling southeast from the Fisherman’s Point fast travel point, located south of Mount Obsidian. Herbils on this island are stronger, ranging from levels 34–37, and the area includes aggressive Pals that may pose a threat.
The third islet is Oasis Isle, located at 904, 191, east of the Dessicated Desert. To reach it, travel southeast from the PIDF Tower Entrance fast travel point, move toward the peninsula on the desert’s eastern coast, and head east over the water.
You’ll arrive at the island after a short sea journey. Herbils here are levels 41–47, making it a great spot if you’re looking for high-level ones.
Herbils are non-aggressive and tend to flee when approached. As Neutral and Grass types, they’re vulnerable to Dark- and Fire-type Pals, so bring those for an advantage.
How To Breed Herbil
Even though Herbil is found in multiple places, another way to obtain one is by hatching it from a Verdant Egg. You can find these eggs in the wild or produce them in the
Breeding Farm by pairing specific Pal parents. The required combinations are listed in the table below:
Items Dropped By Herbil
Herbil doesn’t drop particularly valuable items and is not ideal for farming. When caught or defeated, it can drop Leather and
Red Berries. Leather can be farmed more easily from common, low-level Pals found on the main islands. Red Berries are not very nutritious, and easier options like
Cattiva make better targets if you’re looking to gather them.
Partner Skill & Work Suitability
Herbil’s partner skill, Herbil Pulse, is surprisingly useful. It automatically revives you when you become incapacitated. This can be a lifesaver in dangerous situations and boss or raid battles. However, keep in mind that the skill has a long cooldown.
Catching a low-level Herbil from Sunlit Isle early on can give your base a small but helpful boost. As for Work Suitability, Herbil’s levels are shown in the table below:
Work Suitability |
Level |

Planting |
Level Two |
Transporting |

Passive Skills
Herbil doesn’t have a perfectly fitting passive skill, but if you’re assigning it to your base, look for Remarkable Craftsmanship or Artisan. If you plan to use Herbil in combat, Stronghold Strategist is a solid option, as it boosts your character’s defense.
