What a nice way to call the feeling of “existential dread”.
Lyric is one of the easier candidates to win over, through no fault of his own. However, you’re also given the most freedom in how you get your ending. We’ll break down how to get each ending and how to help Lyric write his own book–which all depends on how creative you’re feeling.
Where To Find Lyric
Lyric is the spirit of literature, and he can be found in any book in the house. This includes the books on the upstairs table, the magazine on the coffee table, and any books in the bedroom closet.
When you speak to him, he appears as a flutter of pages. He’ll confess that, despite having read every book ever written, he’s never even written a single sentence of his own. Agree to help him write his book and you’ll begin fulfilling his life’s purpose.
You’ll get Lyric’s reading list, which has several… interesting titles on it.
How To Write Lyric’s Book
The second time you speak with Lyric after accepting his offer to co-write his book, you’ll get to pick the different parts of the outline. These choices will directly impact your ending–which is entirely dependent on how well the book does.
To start, Lyric tells you the main character is a hard-boiled detective, but that’s all he has so far. It’s up to you to help him fill in the rest of the blanks to complete his debut novel.
You can repeat this sequence as many times as you like to ensure the outline is perfect (or atrocious).
How To Get Lyric’s Love Ending
To have a shot at Lyric’s love ending, you need to write the perfect manucript. To do this, you want to select all the noir-styled options, which tend to be the first in the list.
You’ll know you’ve done this right when Lyric tells you at the end that his manuscript is one for the ages. At his support group reading, they’ll praise his work. Continue to publish his work, and Lyric will celebrate the success of his novel with you the next time you meet.
It’s here that you’ll get to confess your love. It’s abrupt, but by referring to him as “my love” you’ll immediately unlock the love ending with the spirit of literature.
How To Get Lyric’s Friend Ending
If you’d prefer to stay friends, write a decent manuscript for Lyric and proceed with the aforementioned steps. When you celebrate the success of his novel, call him your buddy to solidify your friendship.
How To Get Lyric’s Hate Ending
To earn Lyric’s wrath, you must write the most unappealing novel you can. To do this, experiment with the options until you get a manuscript that Lyric refers to as garbage.
This is best accomplished by choosing nonsensical options, changing genres, and losing the plot along the way.
When Lyric’s support group tells him that his work is trash, ignore it. Instead, push him to publish regardless. When he checks to see how well his book is doing, he’ll be outraged. After accusing you of obviously sabotaging his work, you’re locked into his hate ending where he no longer wants anything to do with you.
