Pokemon TCG Pocket challenges players to create their own decks and pit them against other players online. While the cards in this game are usually divided between Pokemon and Trainer cards, it gets way more in-depth once you start examining what the cards do.

Pokemon Pocket: The 10 Best Rare Candy Decks In Celestial Guardians
These are the best Rare Candy decks to use in Pokemon Pocket’s Celestial Guardians set.
Some cards are good for improving consistency while others allow you to turn the tables on your opponent at a moment’s notice. While some cards are tied to specific decks or types, there are others that are less restrictive in what kind of decks they can be used in. So what are the best generic cards you can slide into your deck?
10
Poke Ball And Professor’s Research
Your Essential Consistency Boosters
Poke Ball and Professor’s Research are two of the most important cards in the game. Every deck that wants to win needs two of each. Every deck uses Basic Pokemon, therefore, Poke Ball is a necessity to keep your Bench filled.
Professor’s Research improves your chances of drawing into the cards you need. This means hitting that Rare Candy, Evolution Piece, Basics, or Items that you need to complete your setup. These two cards provide an immediate consistency boost, so always leave four card slots reserved for them.
9
Cyrus And Sabrina
Push And Pull
Cyrus and Sabrina have very similar effects but different conditions for their activation. They both allow you to push your opponent’s Active Pokemon back while bringing something else out to the front. This can be useful for scoring points or preventing a Pokemon from reaching full power.

Sabrina is the common choice since it only requires that your opponent have something on the Bench. With more decks being able to sprinkle damage on the Bench, Cyrus can give you the choice of which Pokemon to drag out.
8
Giovanni And Red
A Generic Power Boost
An additional ten damage doesn’t sound like much, but it can make all the difference between knocking a Pokemon out now or giving your opponent an extra turn to strike back. Ideally, the faster you can shut their best card down, the better.
While Giovanni is the most generic choice, Red is also not half bad. With many decks relying on Pokemon ex as the star of their strategies, Red can make it easier to slam into them. With the weakest Pokemon ex having 120 HP, you want to make sure your strongest attacks have the potential to one-hit as many of them as possible.
7
Mew Ex, Yanmega Ex, And Rayquaza Ex
Flexible Pokemon Ex
While Pokemon Ex usually have their own dedicated decks, there are some that can be splashed into other decks for a power boost or as tech. Mew ex’s Genome Hacking is a great response to your opponent’s powerful, but costly Moves.

Besides Rare Candy, of course.
Yanmega ex is a stage one Pokemon, but its Colorless Energy requirement makes it a powerful card to add type variety to a deck. There are even Colorless Pokemon like Rayquaza ex that can dish out massive damage without taking up as much space in the deck.
6
Giant Cape, Pokemon Center Lady, and Potion
More Health Less Problems
Giving your Pokemon more HP can help them last longer if you need the extra time to set them up. Giant Cape has no restrictions as to what Pokemon can utilize it. Just throw it on a Pokemon and they get an additional 20 HP.
Potion can buy you an extra turn with your Pokemon if the next hit would knock it out. For a healing effect that recovers 30 HP and removes Special Conditions, Pokemon Center Lady is a dedicated Supporter card for healing.
5
Rocky Helmet And Druddigon
Warding Your Opponent Off
Druddigon and Rocky Helmet have the same concept. You want a Pokemon in your Active Spot that can stall for time. Druddigon comes with 100 HP and Rough Skin, which is its built-in way of dealing damage back even if you don’t run the Energy to use its Move.

Rocky Helmet can give any Pokemon the equivalent of Rough Skin. While your opponent could simply choose not to attack Druddigon, there are other Pokemon with high HP that need to be shut down immediately. This means crashing into them is inevitable.
4
Leaf, And X Speed
Moving Your Pokemon Around
A Retreat at the right moment can prevent your opponent from scoring points. It can also help you conserve Energy that could be put to use powering up your strongest Pokemon. There are multiple ways to get a discount, but Leaf and X Speed are the most generic.
Since X Speed is an Item, it is usually one of the first picks. It reduces the Retreat Cost of a Pokemon by one. Leaf can reduce that cost by two, but as a Supporter, uses up your use of the card type for the turn.
3
Iono, Red Card, And Mars
Hand Disruption
There are multiple ways to disrupt your opponent’s hand. Depending on which card you use, the result could look a bit different. Red Card is the most basic. It shuffles back your opponent’s hand and resets it to three.

Mars and Iono have flexible end goals. Mars shuffles cards back and punishes your opponent depending on how close they are to winning. Meanwhile, Iono lets you draw as many cards as you shuffle back and applies to both players. This makes it useful when you not only want to disrupt, but draw deeper into your own deck.
2
Guzma
Getting Rid Of Tools
With many Pokemon Tools that give Pokemon more HP or make them more dangerous to smack into, Guzma makes it easy to get rid of them. The more Tools get introduced, the better Guzma becomes in any deck.
Guzma also has some unique capabilities if the right conditions are met. If a Pokemon is being held together by the extra 20 HP granted by Giant Cape, getting rid of the Tool will reduce that Pokemon’s HP to zero, thus knocking it out.
1
Team Rocket Grunt
The Anti-Misty
While Misty can only be used in Water-type decks, its more disruptive counterpart can be used in any deck. This is Team Rocket Grunt, which can remove Energy from a Pokemon depending on how many coin flips you manage to land correctly.
Even as a coin flip card, having the potential to set a Pokemon back to square one is too good to pass up. This means you can get some free hits on your opponent’s strongest Pokemon without them being able to pay for Retreat or being able to hit back.
