Princess Eugenie paid tribute to her husband Jack Brooksbank on his 39th birthday on Saturday, May 3.
“Happy Birthday to my hero. Gosh it’s been 14 years and every birthday gets better as our family grows,” Eugenie, 35, wrote via Instagram for the special occasion. “Best Dada ever and the best memories with so many more to come.”
The royal shared a carousel of photos taken throughout her relationship with Jack — from their earliest days together to more recent shots of the couple on the sidelines of a Formula 1 race in Bahrain. Share also posted adorable family photos of Jack with their children, August (a.k.a. Augie), born February 2021, and Ernest, born May 2023.
Princess Eugenie — who is the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson — started dating Jack in 2010 after meeting at a Swiss ski resort. Buckingham Palace confirmed the exciting news in January 2018 that Eugenie and Jack got engaged during a trip to Nicaragua.

The princess wore a gown designed by Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos when she tied the knot with Jack, a marketing executive, at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in October 2018. Demi Moore, Ricky Martin, James Blunt, Cara Delevingne and her sister Poppy Delevingne were among the many famous faces in attendance to see the royal couple exchange wedding vows.
Jack and Eugenie subsequently started a family in 2021 with the birth of their son Augie, followed by Ernest two years later. The princess marked the couple’s sixth wedding anniversary in October 2024 by sharing lovely family photos.
She wrote alongside the carousel, “Best day ever marrying you.. happy 6th anniversary my love.”
Eugenie was among the many mourners to pay tribute to her close friend, the late Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Gossip Girl star Michelle Trachtenberg, following the actress’s death at age 39 in February. (The New York City Office of Chief Medical determined in April that Trachtenberg died of natural causes linked to complications of diabetes mellitus.)
In her memorial message for Trachtenberg, Eugenie wrote via Instagram, “Goodbye, special friend. You are so loved and missed. Thank you for so many memories of laughter and fun. You were so thoughtful and generous and soooo funny.”
“My favorite was listening to you order food, always done with precision so you got exactly what we all wanted,” Eugenie continued. “I’m thinking of you up there friend, of your spirit that was so bright and your joy you brought so many.”
Us Weekly exclusively reported that Eugenie and Trachtenberg had been friends for more than a decade.
“Princess Eugenie and Michelle met at a night out around 2012 in New York, they really hit it off and their friendship remained constant throughout the years,” the insider exclusively told Us. “They were always very fond of each other.”
