Jenna Bush Hager is getting personal with her Today show co-host, Carson Daly.
During the show on Thursday, May 1, the television personality was discussing the viral TikTok prank “I’m so hungry, I could eat…” — a game in which the participant then names a person their fellow player may find uncomfortable discussing.
Feeling in a mischievous mood, Bush Hager, 43, said, “I’m so hungry I could eat a Jennifer Love Hewitt,” referencing Daly’s ex.
Caught off guard, Daly, 23, stuttered, “Right, wait… what?” in reply, before Savannah Guthrie, 53, quipped, “Thank you for doing what I was about to do.”
Daly — who dated the I Know What You Did Last Summer actress in 1998 — then asked for a “new seat,” before jokingly telling his co-hosts that the game was “ridiculous.”
However, Guthrie and Bush Hager weren’t done there as they proceeded to bring up actress Tara Reid, who was engaged to Daly in 2000 before the pair split in 2001.

“Oh my gosh, you didn’t,” joked Daly as he closed out the show by backing away from his co-hosts. “We did!” mom of three Bush Hager concluded with a laugh.
Daly has been married to Siri Pinter since 2015. The couple shares son Jackson and daughters Etta, London and Goldie.

In a behind-the-scenes clip shared on the Today show’s Instagram account after the show, Bush Hager and Guthrie revelled in their on-screen prank on Daly, calling it “an amazing moment for us and for the show.”
While Bush Hager said that she’d like to give “some credit” to Guthrie for the joke, her co-host praised Bush Hager for “bringing up Carson’s old girlfriends and, in some cases, fiancées.”

The Today co-hosts enjoy playing pranks on one another, as Bush Hager and Daly proved when they participated in the recently revitalized ice bucket challenge during the April 21 episode of the show.
Bush Hager explained that the 2014 challenge, which raised money for ALS research, had been revitalized in a new TikTok campaign from students at the University of South Carolina. The correspondent then proved herself to be a great sport as she took a soaking from a delighted-looking Daly.
“I was told they weren’t going to do too much water!” she gasped, seemingly shocked by the freezing water. However, the daughter of former President George W. Bush and first lady Laura Bush got her revenge while out on the Today Show Plaza later in the episode, pouring water on both Daly and Guthrie.
