Brainteasers have been proven to improve your mental age over time – so why not try out this optical illusion to see whether you have the lateral thinking and observation skills to solve it
People have been left scratching their heads over an optical illusion so confusing ‘only 10% of the world’s population can solve it.’ Shared on social media, the image has sparked a debate as users try to look beyond what’s in front of them to see the hidden image.
After admitting defeat, however, many have been pleading with others to reveal the answer, saying it is driving them “crazy”. The image, shared by TikTok channel @did_youknowthat, shows a man with a large nose, moustache and beard – but supposedly there’s a “hidden dog” somewhere in the picture. The video says: “Only a genius can spot the hidden dog. 90% of people fail. Let’s see how sharp your eyes are.
“At first glance, this looks like a simple drawing of an old man with a beard. You see the hair, the wrinkled forehead, the big moustache but what if I told you there’s something else hidden in this image?”
Providing a clue, the video recommends “shifting your perspective” to see whether it helps you “see something completely new”.

What’s the answer?
Revealing the answer, it adds: “If you look at the man’s nose and moustache in a different way, you’ll notice it’s actually a dog. The moustache forms it’s body and the nose becomes its head. Once you see it, you can’t unsee it.”
Commenting on the video, one user said: “Turn your phone upside down and you can see it.”
Another user said: “Flip phone to left you see the dog blur your eyes a little.”
A third user said: “That was hard task. Cant see it sorry.”
One more user added: “the hair is the nose, the ear is the tongue, and the nose is the eye.”
It comes after another TikTok user confused people with a brainteaser aimed to identify the ‘smartest people in the country.
Shared by @wizeprep, the puzzle presents players with a triangle and nine circles drawn around them at various points.
It asks: “Can you solve this? Place the numbers 1 to 9 in the circles so that each side adds up to 17. No repeating numbers.”
While many users came up with clever suggestions as to how to solve the problem, there’s only one correct answer. If you want to try it for yourself, click here…
