Rob Lowe Calls Out Tour Bus Driver Who Mistakes Him for John Stamos

• The West Wing actor shared a video of the funny moment he called the driver out on Instagram, telling the guide to “get better” at his job
• The tourists traveling on the bus were captured laughing at the amusing case of mistaken identity

Rob Lowe was not amused when he encountered a local Hollywood Beverly Hills Tour group and learned that the tour guide had misidentified him. 

On Tuesday, April 15, the West Wing actor, 61, posted a funny clip of himself on Instagram approaching the bus as the tour guide announced, “This is John Stamos.”

Lowe turned back to the camera, mouthing, “What the f—?” Then the veteran TV and film star walked up to the bus where he asked the passengers, “Okay guys, am I John Stamos? Who am I?”

The patrons, many of whom were laughing at the exchange, proudly declared, “Rob Lowe!”

Lowe then turned to the bus driver, shouting, “Dude, you gotta get better at your job!”

But the driver wasn’t deterred, telling the Parks and Recreation star, “It’s about having fun, you know? I don’t expect to run into people so… but thank you for your cool energy, man.” 

Lowe laughed off the exchange, urging the passengers, “Don’t listen to him.” 

He captioned the post, tagging his son, “@johnnylowe am I being Punk’d?”

Johnny, 29, subsequently commented, writing, “The people have spoken.”

Several other celebrities chimed in with their reactions, including Sex and the City star Kristin Davis, who wrote, “Oh my god,” and New Girl comedian Lamorne Morris, who commented, “Love John Stamos!”

Stamos, 61, has not publicly commented on the funny mixup. Both actors rose to fame in the ‘80s with Stamos starring in the popular sitcom Full House and Lowe getting roles in hit films like The Outsiders, St. Elmo’s Fire, and Wayne’s World. 

Lowe went on to appear as Sam Seaborn in Aaron Sorkin’s hit presidential drama The West Wing and later as the enthusiastic Chris Trager on Parks and Recreation.
