Employee of the year: what an honor!

Employee of the month is a great honor, too, and at many workplaces, this is a goal that employees strive for. It comes with a little bit of clout, but more importantly, it often has a cash bonus that accompanies it. So an employee of the whole entire year award is quite special. This person should’ve been excited… but instead, they’re having a bit of dread about the whole thing.

As an “overemployed” worker, this dude is working 3 full-time, 9-5 jobs all at the same time. A lot of overemployed workers struggle just to squeeze 2 jobs in, working 16 hours in an 8 hour span every day. The way this manifests is usually that you will be the worst worker at your company. You will be very bad at your job, and you just have to make peace with that. While you’re on a call for one job, you’re missing a team meeting with another. You have to be comfortable declining every meeting and “catch up” you can, and if you don’t work remote at at least one job, it’s all but impossible.

This person is clearly doing something right, and they could give some pointers to the rest of the overemployed workers out there. Check out what happened down below.

Next, read about the employee who was given a hiring contract and spotted some interesting red flags in it, such as “No call-outs or missed shifts for ANY REASON.”
