I make dried oranges every year for Christmas, and this is the dehydrator I have! I have a small apartment, and deciding to get this was a big (counter space, especially) investment. For my family, it earned its spot of honor after the first batch of berries. We make fruit leather and dehydrated fruit constantly for ourselves and our toddler. We’re big hikers, and having a dehydrator (especially one with this much space) makes dehydrating soups for our packs a cinch. And like I said above, the astronaut ice cream hack is REAL. Get yourself some raspberries, stat.
Promising review: “I’ve only had this a couple of days so far, but I’ve dehydrated some strawberries and some meat. It works great! Easy to use with the touch controls on the front panel. Set the temp, set the time, and away you go. Cleaning it out is easy, too. The trays are easy to clean by hand. I use a damp cloth to wipe down the inside, and bingo… clean for another use. I just bought some pineapples and a bunch of apples. Those are going in this evening. I’ll be sure to update this review as the months go on. So far, I’m really happy with this purchase!
Update September 16, 2024: It continues to perform flawlessly! Apples and pineapples taste amazing after dehydrating. I’ve also made more beef jerky, and the meat comes out perfectly. About to head to the store to get some supplies to give fruit leather a try.” —David
